IamLUG - Things are starting to take shape

| I was booking my hotel and flights to go to IamLUG in St. Louis. It is taking place August 3-4 in the HoteLumere. I went over to the website http://www.iamlug.org and had another look at the speakers and the sessions - wow! Things are starting to take shape there. Last time I looked there was really nothing to look at but now there is allot of stuff to look at. Looks like Kathleen McGivney will be working overtime (go girl!!) and Julian Robichaux has an interesting one that we all can benefit from: Getting Data in and out of Notes - that is something we all struggle with now and then. Mitch Cohen's one on Lotus Connections is definitely one I will be sitting in - I like the topic and Mitch usually knows what he is talking about. the one I will DEFINITELY not miss is William Malchinsky's Lotus on Linux session - I work with Linux quite a bit and it is becoming more prevalent, especially in non-for-profits and (who would have thought) hospitals. I for one am looking forward to going - allot! I plan to fly in on Sunday and leave Wednesday morning. If any of you want to meet up and hang - just let me know - I can mostly be found where there are many voices to be heard - mine is usually the loudest. I am looking forward to seeing my colleagues, peers and the "exalted ones" (those who are REALLY good) - especially since I had to miss Admin this year, I am on cold turkey here. To do or not to do .... That is the question! The one thing I am wrestling with right now though is ... should I catch that Cardinals game on Sunday at 1:15 PM or not? Anybody else game? I love watching baseball live, maybe we can get a group thing going together. There is nothing like a baseball game to start the week! Victor |
