Cross Posting - Lotus User Group virtual meeting - Unified Communications

Victor Toal  June 12 2009 05:00:00 PM
This drifted into my in-box this morning and I thought it is a good one to cross post. If you are a member of the Lotusnotesusergroup (one looooong word) then you probably already received this. If not, then you should become a member. They do quite allot and offer allot os "value" (oooh, I used a business buzz word!)

This one I think is interesting as it is about UC - Unified Communications. I am running into allot of integration projects lately, UC is usually part of it. Most clients actually don't know the euphemism but they want more out of their investment in their collaboration tools. Currently I am wrestling with a Sametime, Quickr, Cisco integration telephony integration - highly interesting stuff and the geekiness factor of this project is definitely all the way in the in the red zone - just how I like it!

I believe this one here is interesting as Avaya is a major player in this field, I am hoping they have some interesting things to show. I am traveling that day so I might not be able to participate but I urge anybody who has time to at least listen in. You might take some interesting tidbits home with you.
